Effective September 16, 2026. By using the Karmanet website or Discord bot, you agree to these Terms.
Karmanet is operated by a single individual based in the Netherlands, not a registered company. Throughout these Terms, "we", "us", and "Karmanet" refer to that individual. By using the website or the Discord bot, you enter into this agreement with them directly.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by the law of your country, whichever is higher — the same requirement Discord itself applies. You also agree to follow Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. Karmanet operates inside the Discord ecosystem, not independently of it: if Discord bans or suspends your account, you lose access to Karmanet as well.
Karmanet lets Discord users endorse each other, rate Discord servers, and leave public reviews, visible on our website and through the /user and /server bot commands. Votes on people are positive-only (endorsements); dislikes exist only for servers. Every review is checked by automated AI moderation before it is published — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Karmanet only works if the reputation it shows is real. You may not:
We run automated detection for suspicious voting and viewing patterns. When we find abuse, we can reverse the affected votes or view counts, remove content, and suspend or permanently ban the accounts involved.
Anyone can leave a public review about a user or a server they interacted with. If you believe a review about you or your server is false or retaliatory, you can dispute it through Discord or by emailing [email protected] with supporting evidence.
We decide disputes based on the evidence submitted by both sides. If we uphold your dispute, the review is permanently marked and cannot be disputed again by the same author; if we reject it, the review stays public. To keep the dispute system itself from being abused, we may limit how many disputes one person can have open at the same time.
Karmanet Pro is an optional paid subscription, currently $4.99/month unless a different price is shown at checkout. It unlocks purely cosmetic features — a custom profile banner, an accent color, and a visible Pro badge. It has no effect on your karma, your ranking, or any moderation decision: reputation itself can never be bought.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel yours through the payment provider's customer portal, linked from your billing page.
All sales are final; we do not offer refunds once a payment provider confirms your payment. If you are a consumer in the European Union, this does not affect your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer-protection law — except where, before paying, you explicitly requested immediate delivery of the service and thereby waived that right for that specific purchase, as described at checkout.
Payments are handled by Polar.sh (card payments) and NOWPayments (cryptocurrency payments). We never receive or store your full card number, CVC, or wallet private keys. For card payments, Polar.sh acts as the merchant of record: your purchase is legally made with Polar.sh, under Polar's own terms, in addition to these Terms.
We can warn, mute, temporarily or permanently ban an account, or remove content, if you violate these Terms, violate Discord's own rules, or engage in the conduct prohibited in Section 4. Automated warnings from our moderation system can lead to an automatic ban after repeated violations. You can dispute a specific warning or ban by emailing [email protected] or messaging us on Discord.
Karmanet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and reputation scores, reviews, and dispute outcomes reflect community input and our own review of submitted evidence — not an independently verified fact about any user or server.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karmanet and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Karmanet is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Dutch or EU law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of that country, which these Terms do not take away.
We may update these Terms as Karmanet changes. Continuing to use Karmanet after an update means you accept the new Terms; if you don't agree with a change, please stop using the service.
